The Dubarry Galway SlimFit™ Gore-Tex Boots are the extra-slim calf version of Dubarry’s iconic Galway country boot. Designed specifically for customers with particularly narrow calves, they provide a close, tailored fit around the lower leg while retaining the same premium waterproof construction and country performance as the classic Galway.

Crafted from Dubarry’s DryFast-DrySoft™ breathable leather and lined with waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX technology, these knee-high country boots offer dependable protection in wet, muddy and changeable conditions. Finished with classic leather tie detailing, a wide entry and a shock-absorbing PU/rubber sole, the Galway Boots are ideal for country walks, dog walking, shoot days, race meetings and everyday rural wear.

Choosing the Correct Galway Calf Fit

Dubarry Galway boots are available in three calf fittings:

• SlimFit™ – Extra Slim Calf
• RegularFit™ – Standard Calf
• ExtraFit™ – Wider Calf

These fittings relate specifically to the circumference of the calf. They do not indicate the width of the boot through the foot.

The SlimFit™ is considerably narrower around the calf than the RegularFit™ and is intended for customers with particularly slim lower legs.

Do not choose SlimFit™ simply because you normally wear slim-fitting clothing or have a slim build. In our experience fitting Galway boots in-store, many slim customers still require RegularFit™.

For the best fit, measure around the widest part of your calf while standing and compare your measurement with the Dubarry Galway calf size guide before choosing your fit.

Galway SlimFit™ Calf Measurements

If your calf measurement is close to or above the SlimFit™ measurement for your size, we recommend considering the RegularFit™ Galway instead.

Waterproof GORE-TEX Protection

A waterproof and breathable GORE-TEX lining helps keep feet dry while allowing moisture and heat to escape, making the Galway suitable for long days outdoors in unpredictable British weather.

DryFast-DrySoft™ Leather

Shock-Absorbing Sole

The directly injected duo compound PU and rubber sole provides cushioning, grip and shock absorption underfoot, helping keep the boots comfortable during extended periods of walking and standing.

What does SlimFit™ mean on Dubarry Galway Boots?

SlimFit™ refers specifically to the calf circumference. It does not mean that the boot is narrower around the foot. The SlimFit™ Galway has an exceptionally slim calf and is intended for customers with particularly narrow lower legs.

Should I choose SlimFit™ if I am a slim dress size?

Not necessarily. Body or dress size is not a reliable way to select the Galway calf fit. We have found when fitting customers in-store that even very slim customers can require RegularFit™. Measuring your calf is the best way to choose.

What if I am between SlimFit™ and RegularFit™?
