The medium-weight 6oz Sylkoil waxed-cotton outer has Barbour’s characteristic matte, lived-in appearance. It helps protect against light rain and cold winds while developing additional character with wear. Periodic re-waxing will help maintain its finish and weather resistance.
Unlike many traditional uninsulated wax jackets, the Prestbury has a warm two-inch box-quilted lining. This provides useful insulation during autumn, winter and cooler spring conditions without making the jacket feel unnecessarily bulky.
The Prestbury’s shorter, more defined shape is inspired by Barbour’s popular Powell quilted jacket. Its tailored silhouette offers a smarter alternative to a traditional relaxed wax jacket while remaining comfortable for walking, driving and everyday outdoor use.
