The Deerhunter Tatra Waistcoat in Loden Wood is a quiet wool-blend layer designed to provide natural warmth and unrestricted arm movement for stalking, shooting and everyday country wear. Its refined appearance is supported by practical zipped storage and a water-repellent surface treatment.
The wool and polyester blend combines natural temperature regulation with improved durability and easier care. Its quiet feel is particularly useful when moving carefully through woodland or open ground, while the sleeveless shape leaves the arms free for mounting a gun and handling equipment.
A water-repellent treatment provides protection from light showers and damp vegetation. The waistcoat does not contain a DEER-TEX waterproof membrane and should not be treated as a substitute for a waterproof jacket during persistent rain.
A waterproof two-way front zip allows the fit to be adjusted when sitting or walking. The concealed-zipped chest pocket and two waterproof-zipped front pockets provide secure storage for smaller field and everyday essentials.
Is the Tatra Waistcoat waterproof?
No. It has a water-repellent treatment and waterproof zips, but it does not have a waterproof membrane.
Is it suitable for stalking?
Yes. The wool-blend fabric is soft and quiet, while the sleeveless design provides excellent freedom of movement.
Can it be worn as a mid-layer?
Yes. It can be worn over a shirt or fleece in mild conditions or beneath a larger waterproof jacket when more protection is required.
