The Barbour Beadnell Wax Jacket in Sage is a feminine interpretation of the iconic Bedale. Made from medium-weight 6oz waxed cotton, it combines practical protection from showers and wind with a flattering tailored silhouette.
A compatible Barbour zip-in liner or detachable hood can be added when required, making the Beadnell adaptable for country walks, commuting and everyday wear throughout the seasons. Accessories are sold separately.
The Beadnell’s 6oz waxed-cotton outer helps protect against passing showers and cold winds while developing additional character through regular wear. A two-way zip, stud-fastening storm placket and corduroy collar with throat strap provide further coverage in changeable weather.
Inspired by the Bedale but shaped specifically for women, its tailored fit creates a more defined silhouette. Two stud-fastening rear vents provide additional comfort and freedom of movement when walking, driving or sitting.
Moleskin-lined handwarmer pockets offer welcome comfort on colder days, while two bellows pockets and an internal zipped pocket provide practical storage. Barbour’s signature tartan cotton lining completes the traditional country look.
Is the Barbour Beadnell waterproof?
The Beadnell is water resistant rather than fully waterproof. It protects against showers but is not designed for prolonged heavy rain.

Does the Beadnell include a hood?
No. A compatible Barbour waxed-cotton hood can be attached beneath the collar but is sold separately.
